What is a cut file?

A cut file is a unique kind of file that guides cutting machines with clear lines. Unlike regular image files that are full of colors and details, a cut file shows just the border of a design, marking where the machine will trim around your design. It should be a single-page PDF with vector graphics. Additionally, we can accept a black silhouette in PNG format for simpler designs.

Cut File

What is the smallest size you can cut on this material?

The minimum cut size is 1” and inner lines must not be less than .75"

How should I set up my file?

• Color Mode: CMYK (We do not print RGB, 5th, Spot or PANTONE)
• DPI: We recommend 300 dpi.

BUT WE DON’T recommend you to make all of your graphics at 300 dpi when it is not needed, since that will slow down your upload, your program and in general the production of your job.

Which file extensions are acceptable for submission?

For printing files, you can upload: JPG, JPEG, TIFF or single page flatten PDF.
For cutting files you can upload: PNG with no background or single page flatten vector PDF.
